European Travel Marketplace Asia-Pacific 2024 Reviews

European Travel Marketplace Asia-Pacific (ETMAPAC) is an online workshop platform which enables members with product to link and sell to buyers from Asian markets. The origin markets in Asia covered by this event represent important long-term growth markets with which we want to engage. Our online format means that attendees can have preset appointments without the time and expense of travelling to Asia.

Whilst many delegates had a valuable experience in 2024, some found that it did not live up to their expectation levels. The average score of just three stars out of five is well below what we aim to deliver and what our members expect. The main driver for this was the “no shows,” which are difficult to control remotely, especially as the relationship we have with buyers is more tentative. Where “no shows” occurred, we did everything we could to re-connect those who had missed appointments. We know that such action is remedial and only goes so far.

Unsatisfied with the workshop
Out of the 16 scheduled meetings, I was only able to successfully connect with 10 attendees.Additionally, some of the buyers who did attend joined late, which significantly reduced the time available for our discussions. This forced me to rush through my presentations, limiting the opportunity to establish meaningful connections and properly present our Hotels.

Thank you for this. It is difficult to balance the need to have as many introductions as possible with an adequate length of time for discussions. We are working to rectify the problem with non-attendance.

Had a good meeting.
I've met a lot of new potential partners in this event. Good quality suppliers. Allotted time for discussion is a bit short though. The good thing is that those companies i met followed up our discussion with emails.

Overall a positive experience
Overall a positive experience, but I would have extended the total event time to include more (or longer) breaks, and I would have appreciated to get email addresses of the participants that didn’t show up (9 out of 21 in my case) shortly after the end of the event.

Very disappointing
very disappointing. Out of the 19 meetings I had scheduled, 8 buyers were no-shows, and 2 others failed to connect entirely.
