ETOA’s new Coronavirus Hub provides vital business resources
The European Tourism Association (ETOA) has significantly increased its business resources for members with a new Coronavirus hub on etoa.org which includes a programme of business support webinars and a resources page with links to a range of official information from the European Union, national governments, tourism boards and research from multinational organisations such as UNWTO and OECD. There is also a wealth of relevant online information on COVID-19.
ETOA recognises that members are operating under significant cash flow pressures and limited staffing levels. The webinars and resources page are designed to help businesses learn, discuss and save time sourcing the range of government financial support available to survive and plan for recovery. ETOA is also monitoring travel restrictions across Europe and key long haul source markets as well as national governments’ temporary application of the Package Travel Directive. ETOA has also re-scheduled its City Fair event in London for buyers and suppliers of cities in European destinations which will now take place on Monday 20 July 2020. In addition, ETOA’s weekly bulletin provides an update on current developments.
Tom Jenkins, ETOA CEO said: “We have ripped up our current schedules to boost our support systems for our members. Our members are facing an immediate and urgent cash crisis. We have added to our existing resources and stepped-up lobbying efforts in the UK and the EU to ensure that jobs and companies survive these extraordinarily challenging times.”
