WeTravel Travel Innovation Summit 2024

ETOA member WeTravel ran an online summit for professionals in multi-day group travel. The summit is available to view on demand at no cost.

Travel professionals virtually gathered for an exploration of the future of multi-day group travel. There is a range of insightful presentations and panel discussions, from untangling payment methods to crafting purpose-driven experiences to harnessing AI tools.

Of particular interest is the opening keynote session on Unveiling Tomorrow’s Travel: Innovations Driving Multi-Day Group Adventures. Conducted by Edmund Morris of Equator, the keynote explains how the convergence of climate change, visitor crowding and AI will shape consumer demand and the future of multi-day tour design.

Edmund presents some powerful new visualisation tools to help understand the impact of crowds, identify concentrations of tourists in a city and quantify the impact of short term rentals in a given destination. It is hoped that these tools will be affordably accessible to small businesses as well as large in the near future.
