Thank you for sharing your feedback about GEM 2024. We are thrilled to hear that so many of you found the event well-organised, giving you the opportunity to meet with established partners and network with new ones. We appreciate the positive comments about our choice of venue and catering and of course, it’s encouraging to hear that our matchmaking process has been so productive and beneficial.

We understand the frustrations around no-shows, unproductive meetings, and occasional mismatches that some of you have pinpointed and we are committed to continual improvement.  We will work on refining the meeting booking system so that the day is filled with relevant and successful appointments and will ensure that we allow for more seating options during breaks.  We have also noted your comments about event timing – particularly regarding GEM in relation to WTM – and we are working on logistics and plans that make GEM25 even better, whilst building on GEM24’s successes.

Dissapointed
I had many wrong meetings ending up in one supplier to supplier meeting. I didn't do to many wishes on buyers because I hoped I will get more of the buyers requested meetings. But instead of getting a meeting with buyers who wanted to meet me I got "Bonus" meetings.

Thank you for giving us this feedback, and doing so pubicly. That you are a long term member and regular attendee means your point carries weight. The appointments, as you know, are generated by what you requested and by those people asking to see you. It seems that many of your requests on this occassion were heavily requested by others, and attempts were made to secure you other appointments (these were the Bonus meetings). We are looking at ways in which this problem can be alleviated.

Thank you for this. Of course, your feedback is disappointing and we are committed to making continual improvements. Meetings are a product of both who you have requested and who has requested you. We continue to devise new ways of how delegates with free slots can fill them - independently of the automatic appoinment system. I trust this will go some away to alleviating this problem.

Below the expectations
We expected to have a full schedule of meetings but we only got 17. From those some of the buyers cancelled and some were also current companies we work with and not new companies we would like to meet and engage.

Thank you for this. 17 appoinments is the average for the event, but that does not excuse the no-shows. As we have said elsewhere, we continue to look into new ways for people with free slots to fill them, independently of the automatic appoinment system. I trust this will go some away to alleviating this problem.

GEM give us the opportunity to meet with a maximum number of qualified buyers during a one day concentrated format.
